"The Heist" is a comedic short film shot from a first-person perspective by an all-female crew. As the Production Designer what set this project apart for me was the creative freedom to develop an immersive heist experience, which included an interactive 'laser' maze for the cast to navigate. This hands-on approach reduced our reliance on VFX during post-production and added an element of fun for everyone involved. I truly enjoyed experimenting, and creating a set on a micro-budget of £100 allowed me to explore new techniques and witness how practical sets can affect performances and the final outcome compared to using greenscreen.
